Chess clubs with a Friday session 11

Friday at the clubs around Barcelona is part social night, part school. Peona i Peó in Horta-Guinardó opens its Espai Social for friendly games, Peón Negro in Sants plays rapid games, Chess960 or another format most Fridays for its members, and the Sant Cugat club combines its school with social games and Catalan league rounds.

Tres Peons, Congrés and La Lira keep club hours on Fridays as well, Torrenegra holds advanced classes on some Fridays, while Cor de Marina in Badalona, Sant Boi and Sant Joan Despí use the day for children's classes and starter groups. In Esplugues the L'Avenç chess section meets on Friday evenings for its members. Visitors should ask first, since several of these sessions are for members.
