About this list

Friday around Barcelona mixes club evenings with social play. Peona i Peó in Horta-Guinardó opens its Espai Social for friendly games, the Sant Cugat club fills Friday afternoons with its school, social games and league rounds, and the members of Peón Negro in Sants meet on most Fridays for rapid games, a Chess960 tournament or another idea of the week.

Clubs in Sant Andreu and Gràcia keep Friday club hours, Torrenegra in the Eixample holds advanced classes on some Fridays, and in Badalona, Sant Boi and Sant Joan Despí Friday is the day for children's classes and starter groups. Some of these evenings are for members only, so check the club's rules for visitors before going and ask whether the session runs that week.
