Who runs this site

Chess in Barcelona is an independent editorial project run by chess players, with no company and no advertising partners behind it. The only way to reach us is the suggestion form; this notice explains what happens to what you send and what the site records about visits.

What the form collects

The form sends the name you give, the email or other contact you leave, and your message: the entry concerned, what is wrong or missing, the correct information, a source and your connection to the place. It also sends the language of the page and, for a correction, the address of the card. Nothing else is collected through it.

How reports are stored and used

Reports are stored on our own server and read by the people who keep the list at the next update of the list. They are used only to check and correct the list. They are not published, sold or shared. Your contact is used only if your message asks for a reply.

Visit statistics

The site counts page visits with a first-party analytics script served from its own domain. It sets no cookies and builds no profile of you. There are no third-party trackers, advertising scripts, embedded maps or remote fonts on any page.

Deleting what you sent

To have a report deleted, send a message through the same form with the name and contact you used and ask for deletion. It is deleted at the next update of the list. No confirmation is sent unless you ask for one.

Places on the list

Facts about places come from public sources, and contact details are shown only as a place publishes them. A place can ask through the form for a detail to be corrected or removed; the request is handled at the next update like any other report.
