Chess classes for children 30
About this list
Children in and around Barcelona can learn chess in clubs, academies and at school. The Escola Catalana d'Escacs in the Eixample teaches children in groups by level on the weekday of the family's choice, the school of grandmaster Miguel Illescas in Gràcia runs weekly children's classes, and Peón Negro in Sants teaches children by level next to its shop, with holiday camps as well.
Most clubs in the city and the nearby towns run youth schools, from Torrenegra, Tres Peons and Congrés to Cornellà, Sant Cugat, Badalona and Castelldefels. Coaches such as Escacs Barcelona and Danitec 3 bring chess into primary schools, the European International School in Sant Cugat offers it as an extracurricular class, and Quiero Ajedrez teaches children and teenagers, online too.
